I have an idea of writing a cookbook of my mother's cooking and my own since a couples of years ago. However, the hectic working life in Vietnam has kept me away from it. In addition to that I got married and have been living and working between Vietnam and Canada since 2007. I have now decided to "settle down" in Canada for a while in order to make my project happen. So I think the first step is to create a "playground" on internet where people can join me and give their comments so I can write better recipes. I want to thank you all in advance and I want to send a special thank to my great friend, Amelia Hard, a great American Chef from Portland, Oregon, USA who has been working with me since my first recipe and continue to work with me until the end of this project.I met Amelia via my wonderful friend Mary Pierce from Portland also. Amelia gave me great help with my Beyond Pho Cooking class at the In Good Taste Cooking school. Amelia and I wish to contribute our knowledge and energy to create a cookbook that introduce more about healthy Northern Vietnamese Cuisine in order to continue to build more traditional house and schools in remote region in Vietnam which my American sisters, Sarah and Faith Fisher and I and my sisters in Vietnam started a couples of years ago.
Best wishes
